“Until five years ago, I worked as a plumber and electrician in construction. Working outside and working weekend shifts broke me up with a young family. I knew Nijhuis Group from my electrical work and my former colleague Sander enjoyed working there. The step to joining this team was then quickly made.

Right from the start, I expressed my desire to become a draftsman. This was accelerated by having a trainer come on site. That way, you can learn the things you need most in a short time.

Gradually, I developed further as a work planner in metal. To better estimate the welding hours of projects and to be able to help colleagues when the shop floor is busy, I started welding. With my building, construction, welding and engineering knowledge, we can now carry out wonderful projects such as #Markenhaven of the WAM&VanDuren Construction Group. To cash in on my knowledge, the company makes sure I get the corresponding certificates as well.”
