“Until five years ago, I worked as an electrician in construction. I no longer liked this. At the time, I had been coming to Nijhuis Group for electrical work for a while. The atmosphere and the way of doing business appealed to me enormously. I then simply accepted a position as a production employee in rubber technology.

In recent years, I have learnt a lot. For instance, the Middle Management I & II courses have given me a broad business perspective. I am now part of the management team, managing technical services, safety matters and other operational matters. I also found out that managing and developing a team suits me very well. Besides task-oriented work, I am committed to the people-oriented development of colleagues. I never expected beforehand that I could do this.”
